Bored through lack of wind, dug the mountain bike out again for a ride out.
Family trip over there, but left the kids with the missus as I sloped off round the single track.
Lack of fitness still evident, and lack of sleep over past few nights not helping, so did a few short cuts cutting out a couple of sections.
Probably did just half the single track circuit, but did also take a peek at the freeride area. Didn't get too engrossed in the freeride area as reckoned it to be a good place to break something, bike or body !!
At least this time round I was suitably equiped with safety helmet.
Tracks were quite muddy due to recent rain which made slow heavy going round some sections, and sketchy grip on others.
Best laugh was our 4 yr old on her balance bike down-hilling from the play area through the trees to the car park ..... she has no fear, and ended the run with a neat broadie skid and a smile!!
Not sure I'm fully feeling the MTB love on my low rent bike, but it's better than sitting about cussing the lack of wind.
